"I am looking forward to spending my summer working with a community-based organization on a research project that will evaluate the benefits of a social network nutrition program in the communities of Mfangano Island, Kenya. My time in Kenya this summer will help me better understand the challenges experienced by an economically developing rural setting, while providing me with the opportunity to fully immerse myself in a new culture."
